If school hasn't already started, it's probably coming soon for you. Before going back, some people have end of summer parties, or it's a happy coincidence because their birthday is at the end of summer. Time may be scarce during the school year, so it's good to do anything you won't have time for in the school year, such as some big diy.org projects. Here are some fun games you can play, with maybe a bit of help from your parents for the noted ones.
Make a Big Jenga Game
You'll Need: Rectangular prisms like thick books or shoe boxes. They should be relatively big and wide.
Get any rectangular prisms that you can stack, such as thicker books, shoe boxes, smaller boxes in general, etc. Try and make them all the same kind so that you are using all shoe boxes, or whatever your choice of Jenga block is. The game is played like normal Jenga, although because there are most likely going to be shorter stacks and less blocks than normal jenga. If you do not know how to play Jenga, you stack blocks in sets of three upon each other, with the blocks alternating going III and going = , if that makes any sense. Players use one hand to take blocks out of the tower without the entire tower crashing, and when you take the block out, you stack it on the tower. You can't take blocks out in the first couple rows. Hopefully these instructions have provided you a base with which you can build your game!
Paint Twister
You'll Need: Tempura paint or a jugged paint like that in red, yellow, green, and blue, ripped apart garbage bags so that they are like mats. You should also have a parents permission and supervision, and a hose. You will get dirty with paint all over you!
Put the garbage bags near each other, and get rocks to hold them down so they won't blow away. Pour paint circles onto the garbage bags so that it resembles the twister board. Get a group of friends, and make sure that you are wearing clothes that you are ok with getting paint all over. Get some one who would not like to get paint all over them (like a parent), and ask them to call out Twister commands (left foot-red, right hand-yellow, etc). Players must put their hands and feet on the spaces, or they will be disqualified. You can not purposely fall on people. Last person still up wins! Make sure to hose off afterward before the paint gets sticky and disgusting.
Water Gun Tag
You'll Need: A water gun, and water to put into it.
To play, one person starts off as "it" or the tagger. The "it" person has a water gun, which they will use to hit people with. When someone is hit with the water gun by the tagger, the water gun is given to the new "it" person. It's a pretty simple game, but the water helps keep you cool, so you don't get too hot and tired.
Hope you have a fun time trying these out! I'll be interested in hearing how these go. Comment below how it turned out after you've tried one or more of these out.
