If you've ever done a newspaper on school you'll probably know how to write a news article and know how newspapers look like.
If you have the writer skill or even the Filmmaker skill it will also help out too because many of the challenges are based on writing an article and some are asking you to film a new scene (this is where filmmaker will help out).
If you are interested in getting this skill when it comes out, I suggest watching news reports and reading newspaper articles.
If you are looking for a news shows to watch I suggest BTN. It's aimed at school kids like most of the kids at DIY. It's produced by ABC News in Adelaide, Australia. It has over 1000 different stories that are easy to under stand, but still give lots of information.
